Castle of Puyguilhem

This castle, Early Renaissance period (early Xylem), is worthy of the finest residences in the Loire Valley in the time of François 1er.
Great harmony characterizes the volumes as evidenced notably the main building with towers and turrets of various shapes and breakthrough facade of mullioned windows.

A rich sculptural decoration - windows, stairs, chimneys, as the so-called "labors of Hercules"  contributes to the elegance of this building. We can also see remarkable oak beams in the shape of an inverted boat hull. Furniture and tapestries decorate the interior.
